I lived in various different places in the world, mainly due to my dad's job but I always went back home in South America twice a year as a kid til I was about 18 years old. It never bothered me. Now that I guess that I am older or just more anal, yes it does bother me a little, I do not like it. But I have a solution:

1) Drink heavily before entering the plane.
2) Upon entering take a pill.
3) Wake up on landing.
