I had a similar experience flying into Keflavik Iceland on Icelandair. No stom but overcast and wet. Looking out the window we broke thru cloud and all I could see was choppy green seas with white waves all over the place. And the ocean up there is cold! so not where you want to ditch! Flaps down, fishing boat out the window.
Wheels down, more waves, white foam seemes to be right under the wing, what the hell? bump were on the runway
