I don't think Daschle is actually a corrupt man and I don't think he would let his past associations and financial relations govern his future management and advocacy. To me, Daschle has always been reasonable and appeared to be a man governed by good ethical standards.
Politically I am opposed to all he wants to accomplish. I fully and unequivocally oppose socialization of medicine, which is what he and his ilk wish to impose on the taxpayer.
So morally, I believe it is unfair to tar this guy with corruption that is unfairly smeared on him. Politically? Oh well, it's a hard knocks game.
