Looks like there aren't ENOUGH geniuses in this discussion so far...
The point you miss is what was the cost of NOT invading? And when was the last (first) time ANYBODY ever got to vote on going to war?
Saddam had to be removed for NUMEROUS reasons (no false pretenses genius) and we have a buffer against Iraq to keep those pinheads in check.
You might want to investigate and TRY to understand what the goal of the invasion was before you claim it didn't work or was a bad idea.
