Bleeding clutch MC

I have searched the threads first and could not find a similar situation to mine.
So, I hooked up a tube to my right front bleeder and filled it up then attached it to the clutch slave and began the bleed process.
All was going fine and then after about 6 rounds of cracking the slave bleeder , depressing the brake, closing the bleeder and releasing the brake, I started getting fluid leaking out from around the slave bleeder.
I only have opened the slave bleeder enough for fluid to flow maybe 1/8 turn or so.
Is this normal? Does it mean that the system is full?
I haven't been able to observe the reservoir and see if air is bubbling through it since I am under the car when my daughter pushes on the brake.
I have kept the reservoir filled so no air is entering.
Now my bleed partner has left me to do homework with a pal so I am taking a break to try and get some answers.
