The new clutch MC install marks the start the winter recon of my 81 240d.
I now have the pleasure of the following repairs: new Bilsteins all around,
fixing the various vacuum issues, ebrake adjuster repair, adjust the valves and linkages, pull the injectors, test them and proceed accordingly and most importantly, tracking down and fixing the periodic driveline growl that came with the car. I hope it is the driveshaft carrier
bearings and not the differential but I do need to figure it out.
All in all it looks to be a fine way to while away the rest of the winter along with those powder days snowboard riding and the usual daily firewood handling and stove and furnace feedings.
This is what Benz owning is all about. When your not out on the road enjoying driving them you can be in the shop enjoying working on them.
