1. I'm sure you will be violating some city ordnance when you launch the dead cow.
2. Unless that is your intention, it will be plain damn obvious as to where it came from.

If you are clear on all of these, play ball. Somehow, I think a thin glass walled container of diesel in the lawn would be better. Someone gave me the idea that you could kill the lawn with it.
