What's an oil separator? Does it have to do with blowby?
I have the same mess on my om603, a little bit of oil inside and a mess of oil on the turbo and engine. I lifted the vent hose from the valve cover and almost no blowby was seen. The turbo worked fine, except for the oil on the outside.
