argus445, overheating could be the result of something as simple as a stuck thermostat, or something much worse. If you're considering purchasing this car have a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) done by a MB-trained tech who is thoroughly familiar with that vintage MB automobile. That way you will know what's causing the overheating and what it will cost to make things right. A neglected MB automobile may be a money pit.
