I had an Accusump on my TR6. Seemed like a good idea, probably overkill though on a Brit car. It was marketed (in the '70s/'80s) for reducing startup wear.
Not a 3.5 Paul. I was going to do a 3.5L, but then noticing that it has about 25hp less than the 3.0 and a less robust reputation, I decided to do the 3.0 with 6mm elements in a 3.5L IP, the 55-trim turbo, and a 22 head.
I might take it down to have it dynoed when it's finished, but finished means coming up with an aftercooler which is really the most complicated and expensive part of a 603 upgrade (assuming it has to fit back in a car). It might be a while.
I have started thinking about making a '94/'95 "E 300 CD" with the engine. I have seen quite a few 300CEs go on ebay, not too expensive. The '94/'95 would be best, especially if I can find a black one without ASR. Otherwise you've met Bruno, the black '94, ... just hate to mess with a car that runs that well and a complete service history. Plus it's ASR which means additional complexity integrating the cruise and eliminating the electronic throttle.
