I can tell you are aching to have a diesel again.... 
That sounds like a sweet motor!! If I find a good source of income.....and then a car that needs a motor.....
The 300E has been behaving, so its in my good graces right now. I figured out (finally) that our "13 mpg" is not 13mpg....its a badly slipping trip odometer....tonight I drove it 9 miles and it counted....2ish... Regular odometer works fine. The car is infact getting about 21-22 mpg...
