I had good local car audio store install a new headunit (a Kenwood kdc-x492) into my 1996 E320 (with the Bose system). The new unit replaced the original Becker headunit that came with the car. The new headunit delivers much more clear sound, with definite improvements in mids and highs. However, the bass response seems to have gone down dramatically. I'm a bit perplexed - do you think that the new unit simply might not put out as much bass as the older headunit? Or do you think the unit might have been installed improperly? Any advice would be appreciated.
