If that glow plug was indeed shorted, what kind of damage did it do? Attaching the induction ammeter to the battery cable takes 1/2 a second and the test takes another 3 seconds. No need to take resistance of 5 glow plugs, go through a glow cycle, take the resistance of 5 glow plugs again again. Wouldn't you agree that's easier.
