You mentioned the year 1980.........and we concluded that it didn't have a turbo. The "TD" designation is for the wagon. Oh Jimmy...........
But, if it came from an SD.........it might just have a turbo. If so, it has 123 hp........and it has many options for getting more power out of it. Check out the "diesel performance tuning" forum which is at the top of the diesel discussion. Many things you can do.........most of which cost a bit of money.
