Wow your brave as my first car was a 1991 vw 1.6L engine. I think around 50hp so i feel your pain i think it was way underpowered tho it did hold it's own.
My neighbor's 240D was always up to drag race up the freeway till both our cars tached out at about 75-80 depending on the direction the wind was blowing belching smoke and everyone behind us eye's burning from the fumes lol
