The biggest thing I notice by really looking closely at the pics is the passenger side strut, which appears to have been impacted by the tire.
Notice the rubbed area in yellow:



vs the drivers side which has no such impact rub:



Pretty good whack to get that tire over into that strut!
I'm just not familiar at all yet with a W124 front suspension and the components and geometry that make up these things.
