Welcome to the "new" Mercedes Benz company.

Although the newer floor mats are OK, I think they do seem cheap compared to those supplied with the 1983 300D I bought new. It seems like sometime in the 1990's they changed the thickness of the OEM mats and I don't think the carpet is of as high of quality either. The MB rubber mats mentioned previously are a bargain. Two winters ago I put them in our E420 for the winter and never took them out. They work great in the summer also.
