The floor mats do come with the anchor like secure clips to prevent from sliding forward, this is neat but isn't it pathetic that MB needs to supply this with floor mats just because they are becoming thinner and thinner?

My 400E didn't come with the original floor mats, so I have no knowledge of how "old" floor mats look like, I do remember the floor mats on my previous 97 Volvo 850, they were made of wool and 3-4 times heavier than the current MB mats, there was absolutely no need to use any safety clips, that was what I expected from MB at the beginning.

I hope Volvo is still using those quality floor mats.
