Get used to it. Getting into our country is not that tough. If they have sufficient motivation and broad enough support, they will mount attacks.
The suicide bomber is a nasty development and one that is going to be hard to stop from now on.
The hill people of Afghanistan and Pakistan are tough as nails and about as smart. Their entire lives require a great deal of scampering about hills; much, much more than the average American.
I don't see any easy answers, and bankrupting ourselves in the process of creating more enemies certainly doesn't look like a good one. Unless you want to make OBL look like a prophet.
