SWMBO's '82 automatic 240D with 314,000 miles gets 27 ~ 32 MPG's regularly.

I find that as soon as I exceed 60 MPH , the fuel ecoomy drops a bunch , oil usage goes up .

The PO must have replaced the timng chain as it sows zero stretch .

I'm betting he new Monark nozzles wil help greatly .

As mentioned , poor front wheel alignment really messes up fuel milage .
