Any fix for a self destructed ignition lock?

Ok, MB Doc mentions the self destruction here: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=193748

And ********az warns:
Quote:
Mercedes (OE)
Ignition Lock Housing; Without Key and Tumbler
This item is easily damaged by improper installation - proper factory tools and techniques are required. Do not turn lock mechanism before installing unit and key/tumbler. This cannot be reset in the field. Part cannot be returned if locked from tampering before installation, factory charges time and freight to reset. 1 per car.

What do the factory tools look like and has anyone fixed this "in the field?" I'm curious to know how to take it apart...

If anyone has a good cheap housing (90+) let me know...
