Non-ASR TBAs rarely fail, just need to be cleaned occasionally and sometimes rewired.

It's a friends car, has no ASR, but cruise control works sporadically. I thought the wire harness may be at fault so he got a rebuilt unit before I could check further. I just need an idea how much of a job this is. If it's not too bad I'll change. Or send him to the shop tha does the major repairs.
