Andras, it' possible the oil level sensor went bad and needs replacing. I recently experienced the same problem as you and replaced the oil level sensor on our 1995 E320. There is no need to remove the oil pan, but I recommend replacing the oil level sensor after you drain the oil for an oil change. The oil level sensor simply unbolts from the side of the oil pan ... at least on a 1995 E320.
