Roy told me recently when the brushes get worn down it pulls more amps.

This I did not know but he did.

You may want to check to see if they are worn down and the tension. If they are near gone this is your problem I guess. Not sure how long they should be however. I checked my brushes and it wasn't that easy, so be careful.

Maybe oil the motor with some 3 in 1 also.
