Hello fellow members,

I just began to look for a CD changer for the 2002 C230K as it is supposedly CD changer ready, however, I tried to look for the wiring harness around the glove compartment but with no avail.

Here are some questions:

(1) Is the CD-changer of a fiber optic type connection (part numbers) ?

(2) Do I need extra harness to connect the changer to the factory deck, or is it pre-wired ? if so where can I locate the wires ?

(3) Is it necessary to remove the glove compartment and/or center console to install the CD changer ? I tried but could not completely remove the top part of the glove compartment as it attaches to the center console.
