If your car is KE injected, that's pretty much how they start in warmer climates as they age since the cold start valve doesn't come into play until the coolant temperature is below about 15 to 20deg. C. My 1991 300TE always started immediately in cold weather but would usually require 1 longer cranking period (3 or 4 seconds) or 2 shorter attempts to start first thing on a warmer day.
