I like the idea of a malfunctioned EGR or rather I think since this is a spare vehicle I just want to make it an off-road racer. With all that in mind, I have done some forum reading on the topic and I'm very confused. If I had an older 300D this seems trivial, but I have the 93 2.5T which it seems has a problem if you just block the EGR to intake port. The computer doesn't like that apparently from many posts and kills the turbo boost. Simple question, is there a consensus in all these posts on how to disable the EGR on this model without destroying the turbo boost?
Yes, there is. Do what GSXR and a few others have done. You should be able to find the write up if you haven't already. If you aren't going to do it, don't spend too much time on the intake. It will just get icky again. You can clean it again in a few years when you change the glow plugs.
