The advantage to the SSD drive units is that they are slimmer and lighter than the hard drive models.

When I'm finished upgrading my sister's she'll have 16 gigs of flash storage total (8 gig SSD + 8 Gig SD card) + WinXP + 1.5 gigs of ram. Plenty for her needs.
