Better built machine. not as much RAM but then who the f*#k needs 4 GB to run most portable apps? I prefer a HDD (160GB) but also carry a 16GB express card for transferring big stuff.

SSDD is ok but 120GB is the max available in a 12.5mm drive. 8=(

I've had a Lenovo S10 since the first week of Jan and have yet to find any major faults. Its far lighter than my old Dell D510, just as fast, yes the screen is smaller but I can always plug into one of the 17" flat screens in the site trailer and my back likes the Lenovo.

I hit 2 to 3 different jobsites a day and using a 3G card in the Express34 slot I can access any data on the company net (Plans, Shop drawings, Piece drawings, you name it) or public databases (City/State Dept of Buildings, Specs, etc) and using a penpad of same size I can draw a fix in realtime, email to my Sr engineer, get an approval and issue a fix on the site-saving me hours/days of RFI bull****e and tsuris.

My Dell's always had issues with build quality or HDD failure caused by Dell MB issues.
My IBM's and Lenovo's have never had any issues...they just work.
I have had issues with Asus in the past orphaning their products and customers, same with Dell but for some reason IBM and Lenovo can still support machines that are 6 to 7 years old (try getting Dell to find you a manual much less an english speaking person who actually worked there 7 years ago!).
I see more and more mobile types carrying the netboooks and lots of companies are issuing them and setting up an external Citrix type network to support them.
