I have 183,000 miles on my 1993 300SD.

Recently, when I first start out driving, I get a
hard shift to 2nd and 3rd. I can feel a 'clunk'
when it shifts. After awhile it seems to shift
smoothly.

I recently had the motor mounts replaced.

I have about 5,000 miles before the next
transmission service.
