Michael, pay a MB-trained tech who is intimately familiar with that vintage MB automobile to perform a PPI (pre-purchase inspection). That way you will know if any expensive repairs are pending. The fact that the older owners "want to cut their losses" is cause for concern. There's no way I would consider that 560SEL without a PPI.
