I had a pet duck a few years ago. Went nicely with the pond that I had dug out a week months prior to getting him. Raised him from when he was still an orange little duckling. He turned into a beautiful white duck, with the richest blue eyes.
He knew when I came home (617 gives it away), and would start looking for me to appear on the lanai. Every so often, I would go around the side of the house and surprise him. He would do a double take, and waddle as fast as he could towards me. He liked leaning against me, and would groom me on occasion. Absolutely loved it, when I would scratch his belly....he would stand on his tippy "toes" and stretch upwards so much, that I had to hold me other hand on his back, so he wouldnt tip over backwards.
One day, I even managed to flip him completely on his back, and scritch his belly...his little feet started paddling in the air, if felt that good....quite amusing!
