190D mileage

Unfortunately, it has an auto transmission. It should be a 2.2 liter which was stock in the 84 and 85 only. the problem, it has an auto tranny, which makes it a dog, by definition. It should get between 35 and 40 mpg, depending on what tires are on it. The A/C will be expensive to fix (I fixed mine twice) and needs to be kept on R-12, if at all available. Avoid a conversion to R-134, or you will have to reinforce the alternator bracket with welding. Freeze 12 may be a good alternative. You will probably have to replace the tranny soon. Start with having it serviced, and replace the return hoses, or unscrupulous mechanics will try to sell you an injection rebuild for $1200. Only takes at most $30 worth of return lines. my cousin bought one, and based on my ride with her, I decided to look for a 5-spd version of the car, and handle wonderful luck with it, and it started out with 216K miles, but well maintained miles. In six years, I had very little problem with the vehicle . . . but my cousin's was a deferred maintenance money-pit. I wish you luck.
