no, I personally wouldn't worry about that, as I have a 1990 300TE.
I have found the thing to do is this. It seems as though one must stop the car completely, keep your foot on the brake, put the transmission into Park and let the whole damn thing settle down, then shut the engine off. I swear, there is like stored kinetic energy in the car. These Mercedes braking systems...I'm still getting used to them.....
