I am not sure what the NA piston's effect on CR is.
I can't remember all the reasons cited, but in Maximum Boost by Corky Bell, he goes into the many reasons why turbo charging is better than a static increase in CR.
So, if you decreased the CR in the Turbo motor and compensated with boost sufficient for the same power output as the NA engine, the turbo engine would far outlast the NA engine.
