Hey, only 6 out of 32 isn't too bad! I'm pretty sure the oil chain and pump need to come out to take off the timing cover. What I'm positive about is that you need to partially drop down the oil sump to get the timing cover off. yuck. Check out this link, it may be helpful:

Have you looked at the timing chain guides at all? Or maybe your tensioner? I'm just curious as to what caused your chain to break.
