I do 95% of my work with a 1/2" metric set from 10-20mm, 1/2" universal stubby, 14/17mm allen, 4-10mm allen set, breaker bar, cordless drill with 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2" adapter, phillips/slotted screw drivers, 8mm 1/4" socket, and 6-19mm wrench set, 24mm wrench, 27mm wrench, 27mm socket, 2lb magnetic pen, flashlight/work lights, needle nose and vise grip pliers.
Almost all purchased at HF, the allen sets came from Autozone. The only tool I splurged on is the 1/2" socket driver. Most of this setup fits into the cheapo tool bags they sell at HF which is very useful when going to the junkyard.
The cordless drill does wonders for speeding up things like dash removal. A flex driver for it would be tits but I dont have one. A close quarters angled cordless might be cool but it lacks the grunt of the 19volt.
