April 1 is the first day of the second quarter of the CY.

Today we discovered that the boss's boss is GONE. Like really GONE. Disappeared. empty office.

The boss is gone too. Transferred. On another assignment for at least a month. His job will cease to exist December 1.

The rest of us will find out on April 15 if we have jobs and when they end. It is likely mine will end on September 30. But this is not certain.

In the meantime, I am the boss for April. And possibly May. No raise, tho, lol.

I have 41 job applications in process since January 1. Three that look promising. Not to mention strip poker, lol.
