There is NO driver's side mirror dip and original poster is questioning passenger side dip. (Typo, I'm sure)

It is true passenger-side mirror must be selected on driver's door control for this feature to work.

It seems all a bit histrionic, however, as this feature is simply selected or deselected by using steering wheel buttons and instrument cluster screen--as described in owners manual. If the instrument cluster screen doesn't have a selection for this it has either been deprogrammed or never existed. Seems unlikely it would ever be deliberately deprogrammed and not sure it could be accidentally deprogrammed and therefore think if the screen doesn't exist car simply doesn't have the feature.
