FWIW, practically all of the feeder cattle sold here in central Texas wind up in feedlots in Iowa and Nebraska unless they have too much ear (ie Brahman-influenced) for the time of year they'll be fed out in the lots. Generally, for those animals, spring sales ship north, late summer and fall sales ship south.
