I moved my moms bed in the back of my 87 tdt, the tail gate didnt close all the way and the motor i guess didnt engage, about an hour later i noticed a very bad smell inside the car and i thought it was a fire outside, later i find that the close assist is not working, is there anybody here that has has similar problem? is the motor in any way operated using the sls accumulators? maybe they leaked? any help is good,thank guys and happy wrenching
