I'm also interested. Although I am not sure yet whether my 84 300D needs a spring change or a shock change.
Using my 85 300D as a benchmark, my 84 sits slightly lower in the back or slightly higher in the front whichever the case maybe. I'm not sure if it has the original springs as the springs do not have the colored paint marks on them. And currently, the shocks are KYBs put by the PO. They are still good so I am not enthused about changing them.
Since I am planning to put Bilsteins anyway, I thought I would wait and see if that will affect how the car sits. I doubt that it would but I would welcome some input.
Also, I wanted to know how everyone who got the vogtlands replaced their springs. Did everyone use the MB special spring compressor tool or did any 'ole spring compressor tool suffice, like the one NAPA rents?
