Where did the term come from? From having their backs wet after swimming across the border ILLEGALLY. Stop doing that and people might not feel so badly towards them. Maybe, just maybe, if they tried immigrating legally, that term might just disappear. But of course, it is easier to stop others from feeling badly towards a group than for the group to change. IOW, it is easier to have you stop calling me a thief than to stop stealing.
