Specific person, yes. Is hillbilly a slur? The ones I've known haven't thought so. As a class of people, no to both. Calling someone a moron insults their intelligence, it's not a racial slur. In other words, I've intentionally tried to pi** people off, but never had conversations about rednecks or hillbillies as a people.

I've worked with 'them' (illegal immigrants). About 40 or so. None were vile criminals. In fact, the only criminals I've come in contact with were... wait for it.... rednecks. That's evidence rednecks are criminals. How fair is that?
