I kinda like the idea... it's always interesting to see the unusual custom hybrids, and turbodiesel in SL - well, why not? As far as "why" he did the conversion, most likely he did not take a perfectly good car apart, it might have needed an engine, and there are numerous advantages of diesel over gasoline (of course there's always a flipside to every coin)... looks like the car is pretty fast, and can probably tow whatever the frame can handle... not something that I could personally use, but kudos to whoever completed that project!
