The car is a '93 300CE, Federal version with ASR, 170K, with the following problem: Occasionally in the first block when the car is cold, I lose pedal and have to go almost to the floor to get power back. I then stop, shut off and restart and it goes away. There is NO ASR light lit. I can drive the rest of the day and evening with multiple starts and stops and it never reoccurs until the next morning. I called Beckmann Technologies about sending in the actuator but they thought it was a throttle position switch. (Reading the codes I get Idle Speed Control at upper or lower control stop or CC or EA indicates "limp Home" on Pin 8. On Pin 14 I get :"closed throttle position contact")
I spent time with the Benz parts guy with my VIN but could find no exterior throttle position switch. My mechanic concurs. Is it the Throttle actuator?
Any ideas?
