if you can handle a soldering iron, then you need to build a jumper cable that has a male connector on one end and a female on on the other.

You would need to buy the correct mail and female plastic covers and the loose little pins.

Once you've constructed the jumper and demonstrated that it works to your satisfaction, cut one of it's leads and splice in a pair of banana jacks and voila, you have a very specialized and wholly useful current probe for your car.
