I'd say this on the oil filters....it really doesn't matter as long as you are not racing these cars...I have used Bosch, Mann, Puralator not to mention Fram....I have doing this for 25 years on German cars that I have owned and cherished (probably around 800K miles on them over the years). I toss a Fram filter and 7 quarts of Catrol 10/40 every so often and the car has run just fine. This is in a 1990 300TE with 130K on it, it leaks some stuff here and there but no big deal.....anyway...I vote for Fram...they work well....
