That said, haven't we always made fun of inapt people who get into trouble? We laugh at them, make fun of them and are happy when they are down. I would say it is "par for the course" when talking about people.

exactly the same way I feel. making fun of inept people/companies often will force them to get better or leave. ive been laughed at many times and Ive welcomed it since it motivates me to be the best at what I do.
