I think the lesson is get rid of ufking management. IF management were that useless and sucking up money for nothing, go without it and do it on your own. After all, they do nothing so why keep them along? To use your example, you might be right that a good plumber is not a landscape architect. In that case, if the job calls for a landscape architect and you are not it, STFU and pay the man.
